An East Texas elementary school guidance counselor has been arrested for sex crimes against a student. Barbara Lynn Orpineda, 31, of Arp, was arrested on two counts of improper relationship between a student and educator and two counts of sexual assault of a child. She’s been released from the Smith County after posting bond.
