ET Schools Honored By US Secretary of Education

Three area schools have been recognized  by the US Secretary Of Education as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2016. The designation is awarded based on academic excellence and progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups, Schools recognized in East Texas included Pittsburg Intermediate School,  Whitehouse ISD’s Gus Winston Cain Elementary School, and Malakoff ISD’s Tool Elementary School.
