Paris Balloon & Music Festival is Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Jul 19-21). Friday and Saturday evenings the festival will take place from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm at the Lamar County Fairgrounds, 570 E. Center St., Paris. We will have Great Food, Kids Fun Zone with Kids Carnival Rides, Marketplace Vendors, Monster Truck Rides, Live Concerts and Tethered Balloon Rides that are anchored to the ground and go up about 40 feet and come back down, and a Beautiful Balloon Glow where all the pilots light up their balloons at dusk each night! Bring your lawn chairs and plan to spend the evening or two with great entertainment! Entry is $5.00 per person.
This is a family-friendly festival, no alcohol, outside food, drinks or coolers may be brought.
Saturday and Sunday early mornings the balloons will take flight and launch from the Lamar County Fairgrounds, 570 E Center St. Paris.
You will want to get there by 6:30 am to see the balloons begin to inflate, launch times start soon after. This is weather permitting, wind speed is a factor on take-off and flight for the safety of the pilot and passengers.
