The First Tee

Youth seven to 17, your chance to learn core life values while having fun playing games this summer. Registration begins June 10!

The First Tee is a youth development program instilling nine core life values. Boys and Girls ages seven to 17 are invited to join in the fun this summer. Instruction uses games children love to play such as bowling, baseball, football, and others. Playing each game is centered around using the golf swing. While having fun playing, each participant will learn how to meet someone, shake their hand, and nine other life skills. Check out the website for more information at www.thefirstteepineywoods.org.

Kids do not need to know how to play golf. They will learn the basic golf swing along with fundamentals of chipping and putting. Golf equipment will be furnished, or participants can bring their own.

The 12 hours of instruction is only $85 for the entire six weeks. Full Scholarships or reduced program fees are available for those with financial needs.

The First Tee programs are available in Longview, Marshall, Gladewater, and Lake Cherokee.
