The Rivercrest Rebels are Area Champions after a 60-58 win over Wolfe City Friday night. Tied at 58, the Rebels Zachariah Lane hit a layup with no time left on the clock to give Rivercrest the win. Their regional quarterfinal game will be on Tuesday night in Greenville at 7:00 pm against Martin’s Mill.
The North Lamar Pantherettes went 6-0 in the Midlothian Tournament this weekend. They outscored their opponents 46-6 in the process. They will play Celina tonight at home at 6:00 pm. The game was moved from Tuesday due to possible bad weather tomorrow.
Also tonight, the Paris Wildcat baseball team will be in Commerce. The North Lamar baseball team will be home to face Sulphur Springs.
The Dallas Renegades played their second home game of the season Sunday against the number one team in the league. The Houston Roughnecks.
Dallas’ first three drives all ended in interceptions off the hand of Landry Jones. Houston only managed six points off those turnovers though. And Dallas had a chance to tie the game late before Houston grabbed their fourth interception of the game. Dallas fell to Houston 27-20 to go to 2-2 on the season. Houston is a perfect 4-0. QB Landry Jones hurt his knee late in the fourth quarter and will have an MRI today.

The Lions’ first game of the postseason will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday at the Comerica Center in Frisco.
