Hopkins County Deputies arrested Kevin Morey of Sulphur Springs after a traffic stop. A search of his vehicle turned up 7.9 grams of methamphetamine and a gun. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Bonds total $27,000. They impounded his pickup.

Sulphur Springs Police arrested 38-year-old David Aaron Soto of Sulphur Springs at about 1:00 Thursday morning for making an illegal turn. A search of his vehicle turned up Ecstasy, a meth pipe, and a shotgun. Soto had a prior felony conviction, and they charged him with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor. ( mugshot not available)
