A traffic stop on Hwy 11 by Hopkins County Deputies resulted in a Whitewright man’s arrest on felony drug charges. A search of the pickup driven by 45-year-old Mark Allan Potts turned up about two and a half grams of methamphetamine, and they charged him with Possession of three and a half grams of a Controlled Substance.
Border Patrol agents arrested 37-year-old Jose Estuardo Martinez on a Hopkins County warrant for violation of his probation for Indecency With A Child by Sexual Contact. Martinez was transported from the Cameron County Jail back to Hopkins County, where he is without bond.
