Hopkins County Jail Bookings

A business on Gilmer Street in Sulphur Springs reported that two men attempted to cash forged checks. The suspects told officers that one of the men was picked up by the other, and they planned to split the money if successful. As a result, police charged Kevin Lank Jones and Jason Daniel Robert Fontenot with forgery.

Police arrested James Aubry Akin for Possession of a Controlled Substance. However, they did not set a bond amount, and he remains in the Hopkins County Jail.

Billy Paul Bolt was arrested in Hopkins County Sunday for Possession of more than four but less than 200 grams of a Controlled Substance. No other details were immediately available.
