Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Pursuing COPS Grant

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is pursuing a grant to possibly hire an additional patrol officer for each shift. If the COPS grant is received, it would cover 75% of the cost of the deputies for a three-year-period. The grant is similar to the SAFER grant which Hopkins County Fire Department received last year.
