Hunt County Deputies Investigating Shooting

A Greenville man called the police to report that he answered a knock at the door, and was met by a man with a gun who shot him when he tried to disarm the suspect. The residence was found to be in the county, and Hunt County Deputies and EMS were called to the scene. The suspect reportedly fled in a black pickup. Authorities say they don’t believe the general public is at risk, and more information about the case may be released soon.
