Jeffrey Barrett
Hunt County Jail
After deliberating about 25 minutes Tuesday, a Hunt County jury convicted Jeffrey Barrett of Greenville of human trafficking. Court documents show that Barrett forced his adopted children into continuous abuse through isolation and coercion, making them work at his puppy mill for years and not allowing them to attend school. He was sentenced to life in prison and fined $10,000. The court previously sentenced his wife, Barrett, to 99 years in prison in the case.
