Hawkins, TX – Jarvis Christian College kicks off its 2016-2017 campaign to raise money for the United Negro College Fund with its fourth annual Jarvis Fest.
During the four-day event, Nov. 10-13, the College will host a variety of activities for faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community. Events include “An Evening of Blues and Soul” with performances by the legendary Zapp Band and a Sunday Brunch featuring Rodney D. Chism and T.T.A.O. Other activities include the Coronation of Mr. and Miss Jarvis Christian College, the Queen’s Tea, Gents and Bow, Community Day, block party and health fair.
The cost is $65 for “An Evening of Blues and Soul” in advance and $75 at the door. The cost is $10 for the Sunday Brunch. Sponsorships for Jarvis Fest range from $600 to $5,000, with all sponsorships and charitable donations benefiting the College’s United Negro College Fund campaign.
