Lamar County Chamber Looking For Ballot Initiative Support

The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is beginning an information campaign to get the word out on the proposal for a new Hotel -Motel Occupancy tax, which was just raised by the Paris City Council from seven to nine cents. Money raised by the tax will go towards refurbishing and renovating Love Civic Center. Voters will decide on the tax in the May 4 election.
