Lamar County Commissioners to Hold Additional Budget Meeting

A final meeting and hearing on the budget and tax rate will be held by Lamar County Commissioners Court at 5:30 on Monday night. Tuesday’s meeting was canceled because of concerns about a quorum. Judge Chuck Superville announced he would boycott the meeting because public comments were prohibited on the agenda. Lonnie Layton joined him, and Lawrence Malone said he had a funeral to conduct.
