Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Warns Of Phone Scam

Lamar County is reporting a new phone scam. The caller is informing the person that they missed jury duty and own a fine. To pay the money the person is asked to buy a card from a drugstore and send it to them. The caller threatens to arrest you if you do not comply. Lamar County Sheriff’s Offices says hang up and report the call to authorities.
