Laura Evacuees Fill North Texas Hotels

Hundreds of thousands of people evacuated the Texas and Louisiana gulf coasts because of Hurricane Laura – which has been called “un-survivable”.  In North Texas – reception centers have been set up in Dallas, Mesquite, and Ennis. More than 200,000 hotel rooms are available statewide for evacuees at no cost to avoid opening shelters amid the coronavirus pandemic.
