Longtime East Texas Fugitive Arrested Near Mexican Border

A Titus County fugitive, who has been on the run for six years, has been apprehended in South Texas. Eric Alonzo Zaldivar-Orona was indicted in 2011 for one-count of kidnapping and six counts of burglary of a habitation in Titus County. Authorities got a tip that Zaldivar-Orona was hiding near the Texas-Mexico border. He was taken into custody in McAllen and transported to Titus County where he remains in jail. His bond was set at $800,000.
