Governor Greg Abbott announced Wednesday that the Texas Department of State Health Services is distributing seven additional cases of the antiviral drug Remdesivir to five hospitals across the East Texas region. The hospitals are in Smith, Gregg, and Nacogdoches counties. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is providing the drugs. It will bring the total number of cases distributed by DSHS to Texas hospitals to 484.
