NL Chief of Police Delivers Safety Training To Students

North Lamar ISD Chief of Police Mike Boaz offers safety tips during a training for the high school students. Students learned what they should do in the event of a lockdown while in the cafeteria, auditorium, gym, and classroom. They learned why a lockout (reverse evacuation) would be necessary, and he clarified the need for an evacuation in the event of a fire, gas leak, and the like versus taking shelter for inclement weather or chemical spills.

          “Preparedness is everything when it comes to the safety of our students,” said Boaz.
