North Lamar’s Shannon and Garrison Advance to FBLA National Competition

North Lamar High School Sophomore Melody Shannon and Junior Brock Garrison competed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference, March 3-5, in Houston.  The team placed second in Business Financial Plan and will advance to the national competition in June, in Atlanta, Georgia.  The pair wrote a 15 page business plan for a fitness center in Paris as well as a seven minute presentation about the business plan.  The sponsors for this event are Yvonne Parson and Angela Shannon.
