Paris Police Report for Tuesday 8/2

Paris Police are investigating a stabbing  in the 200 block of SW 7th . Officers learned that a man had been stabbed by his brother after the two had engaged in an argument. The victim had a cut to his right bicep. No arrest has been made at this time.

Paris Police responded to an arson complaint in the 2500 block of Bonham and were told  that an unknown person had attempted to burn an entry door to a church. Damages were caused to the door and the carpet inside but no damage estimate was available at that time. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris police are investigating several burglaries.

Officers responded to a burglary of a business in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue and  found the door leading into the business was damaged and the alarm was going off. Officers located cartons of cigarettes outside the building which were believed to have  been removed from inside. In the 100 block of NE 15th someone took several hand tools valued at about $50. In the the 500 block of Grand Avenue,  someone  entered a residence and took two gaming consoles, furniture, and jewelry. No suspect information was available. In the 1200 block of NW 19th. several tools were taken from a shop at the location.
