Paris Police Report for Tuesday Oct. 18th

Paris police were called to the 400 block of Fitzhugh to conduct a security check and found  24 year old Amanda Gilbert asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Gilbert was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle. The vehicle had been reported stolen from the 1600 block of E Price last Thursday.

Paris police responded to the parole office and arrested 41 year old  Demetria Cooper on multiple warrants. She was charged with a felony bond surrender and an unspecified misdemeanor.

Paris police are continuing to investigate a report of a sexual assault. The alleged victim told officers she was riding around with two men she knew, when one of them sexually assaulted her at an unknown location.

Paris Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of Fitzhugh. Officers learned that an unknown suspect broke into a storage building and stole a drinking fountain and Christmas decorations. A residential  burglary was reported in the 300 block of SE 24th.  Someone gained entry into the home and took numerous items including a stereo and a mini –fridge.

Paris Police responded to a criminal mischief complaint in the 300 block of NE 29th and were told that a known suspect had damaged the complainant’s vehicle with a baseball bat. The investigation is continuing.
