JaVante Marquestha Black
On Tuesday morning at 9:14, officers executed a search warrant for stolen property in the 1200 block of SE 15th. Officers arrested JaVante Marquestha Black and another Juvenile at the location and recovered identification information and a firearm, ammunition, and accessories. Black was booked and transported to county jail. They referred the juvenile to Juvenile Enforcement.
Officers received a report Tuesday afternoon around 3:00 of Assault of a Pregnant Person, a Felony in the 700 block of S. Main St. The Victim advised that her boyfriend had struck her in the face and scratched her neck. The victim requested a protective order. The suspect would not respond to the door for questioning.
Tuesday night at 8:47, a victim claimed someone took a firearm from them in the 900 block of W. Houston St. They thought an individual working on the property took it. Officers collected evidence at the scene. The suspect removed a gun cabinet door and took the firearm. The investigation will continue.
Officers made seven traffic stops, arrested three adults, and answered 116 calls for service on Tuesday, October 10.
