Paris Woman Charged with Felony Theft

Paris police were called to a shoplifting complaint in the 3500 block of Lamar Avenue and further investigation led to the arrest of 24 year old Mariah Shelby Jones. She and an accomplice had allegedly stolen several items of clothing, and since Jones had previous convictions for theft this charge was enhanced to a felony. She was also charged with having a prohibited substance while being booked into jail.
