Paris Woman Guilty of Embezzlement

54 year old former North Lamar Education Foundation Treasurer Leah Pursifull has been sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years probation after pleading guilty to embezzlement from the foundation. Pursifull was also ordered to pay more than $141,000 in restitution to the organization.  Pursifull was ordered to report to the Lamar County jail no later than Friday April 8^th to begin serving her sentence.
