Pilgrim’s Pride Giving Mt. Pleasant $1.5 Million

As part of its “Hometown Strong Initiative,” Pilgrim’s Pride has announced that it will donate $1.5 million to the City of Mt. Pleasant. The company will help in at least three areas, food insecurity, infrastructure, and COVID-19 emergency response and relief. Pilgrims executives are working with city employees to determine the greatest needs. Pilgrims employ about 3200 people at the Mt. Pleasant facility and nearly 300 growers in East Texas.
