Happy Cold Thursday!
Today, Thursday (Dec. 8) from 5:00 until 7:00 pm is the Chamber Open House and Christmas Party. It is at Our Place Culinary School. Every year we have Chamber Open House / Christmas Party for our members. All members are encouraged to come by for a visit. Any current member who brings a guest and that guest joins the Chamber, will receive a free ticket to the Banquet in January.
Friday (Dec 9)
North East Texas Dulcimer Chorus will perform Christmas Music at ETMC 11:00 am
Saturday (Dec 10)
Breakfast/ pictures with Santa at Herschel’s and then the Holiday Extravaganza, 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, at 234 Rusk Street. At 1:00 pm it is the Christmas Parade, and shopping downtown. Then head out to Bob Sandlin State Park and drive through the park to see all the decorations at no charge.
Saturday and Sunday (Dec 9-10) it is “Christmas in the Park” and see the decorated lights both nights. Saturday night will have activities for the kids. Santa will be here, hot chocolate and cookies, thanks to Brookshire’s and games for the kids. There will even be an ugly sweater contest!
Sunday and Monday (Dec 11-12) it is the “NOEL” Christmas Cantata at 6:00 pm both nights. The Cantata is at First Baptist Church and it is open to the community.
This year’s Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber Banquet is Thursday (Jan 26) at 6:30 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 831 Loop 179, Pittsburg. You are invited to attend our member banquet, which also serves as our annual meeting of the members. We will introduce the new board of directors and give awards to deserving members of the community. Take a few minutes this week to think about some worthy people to nominate.
