Can the Panthers, Wildcats food drive competition generates winning results

The second annual Cross-Town Showdown food drive competition ended Friday night at the football game. Superintendents of North Lamar ISD and Paris ISD, John McCullough, and Paul Jones met at half-time for the announcement of the final tally—Paris 6,944, North Lamar 2,231.

Kiwanis Club President Sally Wright presented Jones the trophy. Each district will receive $250 to aid in helping students this holiday season.
Families in need can access the food boxes through the Salvation Army.
The two school districts thank the community for their generous support of this year’s food drive.
