Statewide Manhunt Continues For Suspect Who Shot Trooper

The DPS has identified the suspect in the shooting of State Trooper Chad Walker near Mexia Friday night. He is armed and extremely dangerous, and a statewide search is underway. Do not approach him. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 911. Trooper Walker remains in a Waco hospital in stable but critical condition after being shot in the head and stomach. Trooper Walker and his wife have a 15-year-old son, twin seven-year-old daughters, and a two-month-old daughter.
