Sulphur Springs Woman Faces Drug Charges

A 67 year old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested Thursday morning after an SCU officer stopped to check on a dumpster diving incident behind a closed business on Gilmer Street. The investigator found 2 tablets of dangerous drugs in the woman’s purse and a subsequent search of the woman’s residence turned up about 6 grams of suspected methamphetamine.  Sharron Ann Ball was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and bond was set at $20,000.
