TCU Student Killed

Officials arrested Matthew Purdy, Jr., 21, for the fatal shooting of a Texas Christian University student last week. The student was Wes Smith, a Junior Finance major at TCU. According to an arrest warrant, Purdy gave police a statement admitting to “approaching Wes, who he didn’t know, and shooting him three times.” Purdy did not provide an apparent reason for the shooting.
