Things To Do This Weekend Around Paris

The North Lamar FFA Parents and Friends Booster Club is hosting the 14th Annual Swinging for Scholarships Golf Tournament tomorrow at the Pine Ridge Golf Course. Check-in is 7:15-7:45 and tee time is 8:00 am. The four-person scramble is $100 per participant and includes lunch.

The Second Annual Trooper Jeffrey Don Nichols BBQ Cook-Off is tomorrow at the Love Civic Center Pavillion from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. There are several categories, including Brisket, Ribs, and dessert. Lunch will be served to the public from 11:99 an until 1:00 pm, as well. Adults are $10, and kids under age ten are $5 each. All proceeds benefit the Jeffrey Don Nichols Scholarship Fund.

The Fifth Annual Mannequin Night is tomorrow from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in downtown Paris. This annual event has mannequins posed in front of and inside windows of downtown businesses in a costume of the theme ‘Halloween Town.’ There will also be plenty of food and music.

The Paris Community Theatre presents “Dracula” tonight and Saturday night at 7:30 and Sunday afternoon at 2:30.  The play, based on the novel by Bram Stoker, will also be performed next Friday and Saturday. For more info and tickets visit pctonstage.com.

There will be a Cornhole Tournament to benefit the Red River Valley Down Syndrome Society tomorrow at the Red River County Fairgrounds in Clarksville. The event will be held rain or shine.
