Three Jailed On Hopkins County Drug Charges

A Hopkins County investigators on his way to work noticed a vehicle with suspected drug users inside and stopped the vehicle for a routine traffic violation. The owner of the vehicle, who was a passenger in the back seat, gave permission to search the vehicle and drug paraphernalia was found in the back seat and a cylinder of suspected methamphetamine was found in the front seat. Dwade Newton Wilcox and Megan Deleyn Strawn, both 22, were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug-Free Zone, and the woman in the back seat was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
