Vote Update For Purchase Of Downtown People’s Bank Building

The Paris News is reporting that two of the 11 entities served by the Lamar County Appraisal District have voted against the District purchasing the People’s Bank Building in downtown Paris. The Paris City Council and Chisum ISD both voted against the move. The Reno City Council voted in favor of the proposed $625,000 purchase. Seven more districts must approve the purchase so it can move forward.
