A Hopkins Deputy stopped and then arrested Hunter Wayne Weems, 18, of Winnsboro. The officer released his passenger. Earlier Weems allegedly was on Sulphur Springs square pointing a handgun at individuals. The deputy found a weapon, two loaded magazines, coins, jewelry, electric scale and possibly methamphetamine in a container. Weems failed to produce a driver’s license and reportedly drove at an unsafe speed.
