Lamar County Commissioners Select New Inmate Health Provider

Lamar County Commissioners have signed an agreement with Southern Health Partners, Inc. for inmate health care. The county had formerly contracted with a doctor and nurse for health care. Under the new agreement, health care staff will be at the jail nine hours a day, seven days a week. They will provide medical, basic dental and basic mental health services and be supervised by a registered nurse.
