The regular Camp County Cattlemen’s Meeting is Tuesday (Feb 18) at 6:30 pm at the Aubrey Pilgrim Building. Annual dues are DUE at this meeting, which is $30 single/$45 couple. If you are not sure if you have paid dues or not, please call the office. If you are not currently a member but are interested, please visit! We will feed you and give you another month to think about joining and paying your dues.
I highly encourage joining this organization as it promotes education and comradery between beef producers in the county, something that not all local communities have! We are also building a scholarship fund through our cap sales to help support Camp County 4-H. Caps are $20 each and available at meetings or in the Extension office. By being a member of this organization, it guarantees you at least two pesticide CEU’s a year from regular meetings!
We also have the Landowners’ Educational Field-day Series hosted by Camp, Franklin, and Titus Counties Extension Offices. They are on Saturday (Feb 22) from 9:00 am-2:00 pm in Mount Pleasant at the Titus County Extension Office and on Saturday (Mar 21) from 9:00 am-2:00 pm at the Aubrey Pilgrim Building in Pittsburg. These two programs will begin with a classroom portion, will include lunch, and a field portion for live demonstrations follows.
