Expect showers and thunderstorms for much of the upcoming work week. An adamant storm system will affect the region. The threat of severe thunderstorms will increase on Tuesday with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible. The primary threat for most will be heavy rainfall and flash flooding Tuesday and Wednesday. Severe waves of thunderstorms will move across the area. The flash flooding threat will slowly spread eastward Wednesday and Thursday over Northern Louisiana and Southern Arkansas. Widespread four to seven-inch rainfall totals over the duration of the event with higher amounts of eight to ten inches possible, especially over Toledo Bend Country. The precipitation starts to diminish in coverage by Friday. Some rainfall will linger into the next weekend.
