Sexual Assault Trial To Begin In Lamar County

Jury selection begins Wednesday morning in Sixth District Court in Lamar County for a Powderly man accused of felony sex crimes against children. Choctaw County arrested 54-year-old Douglas Gene McClure in May of 2019 on warrants for first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child and a second-degree Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. He remains in the Lamar County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
