Texas Execution Delayed

Bowie County State District Judge Bill Miller has withdrawn next week’s scheduled execution date given to 58-year-old Anibal Canales, Jr. He was condemned for murdering fellow inmate Gary Dickerson in his cell at the Telford Prison Unit near New Boston. Both prosecutors and Canales’ attorneys agreed to the delay.
