Services For Retired Firefighter Killed In Fireworks Explosion and Fire

The retired Longview firefighter killed in a firework explosion in Gilmer on the Fourth of July will be honored this weekend. The family of 58-year-old Jared “Mutley” Maddox will receive friends today from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Oroley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Gilmer, with burial at Glade Creek Cemetery.
