A former Hallsville track and cross-country coach has accepted a plea bargain in his case involving three counts of indecency with a child by exposure and improper student-teacher relationship. Dean McDaniel pleaded guilty to three lesser counts of assault causing bodily injury. Under Monday’s plea agreement, he was sentenced to four years probation. He must also surrender his teaching license.
