Almost A Hundred Texas COVID-19 Deaths Reported In Nursing And Assisted Living Homes

The State of Texas says there have been 94 COVID-19 related deaths in nursing and assisted living facilities across Texas. The Texas Department of Health and Humans Services says there have been cases in 198 nursing homes and 52 assisted living facilities. There are 1,222 licensed nursing facilities, and 2,002 licensed contributed living facilities statewide. An email from the state says privacy laws prohibit them from releasing more detailed information.
