Sulphur Springs investigators are reviewing surveillance video to try to determine who vandalized a pillar surrounding the kiosk at the Veterans Memorial on Celebration Plaza. Someone sketched a crudely drawn face and wrote the name “ Romeo” on the pillar.  Its not known when the vandalism happened.

    An East Texas woman was jailed over the weekend after she was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor drug charges, as well as DWI. Bond was set by a Gregg County JP at $103, 000 for Stephanie Gean Mason of Hallsville and she remains behind bars.

    An East Texas man has been charged in a Smith County child sexual abuse case.  67 year old William Gerald Kennington of Tyler turned himself in to authorities and remains jailed  under bonds totaling $850,000. He’s charged With Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  

    Paris police were flagged down in the 600 block of Bonham after what was later described as a robbery. Three suspects allegedly assaulted the victim and took his television and other items before fleeing the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
