Royse City Sexual Predator Sentenced

Kristian Michael Wright Hunt County District court found 50-year-old Kristian Michael Wright of Royse City guilty of Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child. The court sentenced him to 45 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

Hunt County Deputies Conduct Drug Raids

Hunt County Deputies executed search warrants in Wills Point and Quinlan and arrested two people for manufacturing and Delivery of Methamphetamine. After the raids, they arrested four other people on narcotics warrants, and their names were not released.

Harrison Man Sentenced For Shooting Mother, Uncle

A court sentenced Carl Dwain Dunn, of Karnack, to 99 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting two family members. Prosecutors say Dunn shot his mother in the face and his uncle in the stomach in April 2020, seriously wounding them. Dunn also pistol-whipped his uncle.

High School Senior Killed In Crash

Wills Point High School Senior Jackson Adams, who was about to graduate, was killed in a crash involving a passenger car and an 18-wheeler on Hwy 80. Three other people in the vehicle, including a high school junior, were injured in the crash but are in stable condition.
