Interim Lamar County Veterans Service Officer Melissa Horsey has been named to the post on a permanent basis. Horsey is a retired US Navy nurse. She replaces Laura Bivens, who was recently appointed to the Texas Veterans Administration as a liaison with county veterans service officers.
