State troopers will be focusing on drunk drivers, speeders, seat belt violators and other dangerous driving during its traffic patrols over Christmas and New Year’s. Authorities say impaired driving or reckless behavior on the road can transform holiday celebrations into tragedies.

  Clarksville City Secretary Penny Hobbs resigned Monday morning after being arrested a second time  this month for forgery. She had been on paid leave since November after being accused of forging city checks. Hobbs was arrested on additional forgery charges last week and Texas Rangers are still investigating.
