The man accused of killing two sisters in a Texas A&M-Commerce dorm room has had his charges upgraded to Capital Murder. Jacques Dshawn Smith allegedly fatally shot Deja and Abbaney Matts in February 2020. Deja was a student at the university, and Abbaney had reportedly dated Smith. The trial is on June 5. Smith is also facing an unrelated capital murder charge in Denton County.
