Child Killed In East Texas Hit And Run

A child was run over and killed Sunday morning on Highway 271, near Loop 323 in Tyler. He was identified as 11-year-old Damarion Williams of Smith County. Information from a witness led investigators to Athens, where the suspect’s vehicle was located. Further investigation led to the arrest of 21-year-old Josue Alejandro Prado Ramirez. He was arrested and is being held under $250,000 bond.
