East Texas Man Sentenced On Multiple Charges

An Upshur County man has received a lengthy prison sentence after pleading guilty to First-Degree Felony Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver and Third-Degree Felony Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle and a Deadly Weapon. Tracey Wayne Evans, 53, of Big Sandy, received 35 years in prison. He was a passenger in a car that had been stopped for a defective brake light by Gilmer Police.
